Best Link-in-Bio Tools With a WhatsApp Chat Button (2026)
Link-in-bio tools ranked on WhatsApp support: chat buttons with pre-filled messages, floating buttons, order buttons inside posts and Indian number handling.
On this page
Almost every link-in-bio tool can hold a WhatsApp button, because a WhatsApp chat link is just a wa.me URL you can paste anywhere. The real differences are whether the tool gives you a field for a pre-filled message, whether each product can have its own order button, whether there is a floating chat button, and whether taps are counted. On those criteria, as of October 2026, QKAP (our product) and Taplink document the most WhatsApp-specific features of the tools we checked, while Linktree, Beacons, Lnk.Bio and Bio.link handle WhatsApp as an ordinary link or icon.
Key takeaways
- Every tool in this list can open a WhatsApp chat; what varies is how much of the message and tracking it handles for you.
- A pre-filled message that names the product saves a round of "which one?" questions, and any tool can do it if you build the
wa.melink with?text=yourself. - Among the tools we checked, only QKAP documents per-item order buttons and a floating chat button; Taplink documents a messenger block with a message template.
- Use your number in international format (91 plus the 10 digits for India) and test the button on a phone before you share it.
- QKAP is our product. We explain below how that shaped the ranking and where others may suit you better.
How we ranked WhatsApp buttons
We ranked tools for sellers, coaches and creators who close sales or bookings on WhatsApp. The criteria and weights:
| Criterion | Weight | What we looked for |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-filled message | 25% | A built-in field for the message, or at least documented ?text= support |
| Per-product order buttons | 20% | Can each product carry its own WhatsApp button with its own message? |
| Floating button | 15% | A chat button that stays visible as visitors scroll |
| Tap tracking | 15% | Are WhatsApp taps counted in analytics? |
| Number handling | 10% | Does the tool help with country codes and formatting? |
| Price and free plan | 15% | Can you do all of this without paying? |
Method. We read each tool's pricing page and help articles in October 2026 and only credit what is documented there. If we found no documentation for a feature, the table says "not documented", which means we couldn't confirm it, not that it definitely doesn't exist. Prices are as of October 2026 and change by country.
Our bias. QKAP is our product, so we know its features from the inside while we only know other tools from their public docs. That gap can favour QKAP, because an undocumented feature elsewhere earns no credit. Keep that in mind, and test the top two or three yourself.
The ranking: link-in-bio tools with a WhatsApp button
1. QKAP
- Best for: Indian sellers and creators who show products in reels and take orders on WhatsApp.
- Strengths: WhatsApp is the first platform in the Social and contact picker, and a WhatsApp entry can carry a pre-filled message of up to 300 characters. Inside posts, any item can be its own WhatsApp order button with its own title, price and message. The message starts with your own text, then adds the item, price, coupon, post number, a short reference such as "Ref: Q23-P2" and the item link; order buttons also ask for quantity, name and delivery PIN code. An optional floating button can open WhatsApp directly from a bottom corner of every page, appear after 3 seconds or after scrolling, and use WhatsApp-green. Taps on order buttons in posts are counted in analytics; the floating button and Social and contact links open WhatsApp directly, so their taps aren't counted. A bare 10-digit number is treated as Indian (+91), while numbers written with + keep their own country code.
- Limits: QKAP doesn't send messages or connect to the WhatsApp Business API; the chat happens in your normal WhatsApp. The dashboard is in English.
- Price note: all of the WhatsApp features above are on the Free plan, which allows up to 10 live posts and 30 items across your posts. See pricing for Premium.
2. Taplink
- Best for: businesses that want several messenger buttons, for example one per sales manager.
- Strengths: Taplink's guide describes a messaging-app block with WhatsApp buttons, a "Text message template" field for the pre-filled message, and support for several WhatsApp buttons on one page. Click analytics are listed on the PRO plan, and BASIC is permanently free.
- Limits: we found no documented floating button or per-product order button. Taplink's own pages disagree on which plan includes messenger buttons (the guide says Pro and Business), so check its plans.
- Price note: shown in India on 12-month billing: PRO about ₹140 a month (₹1,680 a year) and BUSINESS about ₹280 a month (₹3,360 a year).
3. Lnk.Bio
- Best for: budget-conscious creators who want a free plan and clear WhatsApp instructions.
- Strengths: Lnk.Bio's own guide recommends either a WhatsApp social icon with the official logo or a normal button holding a
wa.melink, and explains how to add?text=with a URL-encoded message. The free plan includes unlimited links and basic statistics. - Limits: you build the pre-filled link yourself, and we found no documented floating button.
- Price note: free plan; a one-time UNIQUE tier at $24.99.
4. Linktree
- Best for: creators already on Linktree who need one simple WhatsApp link.
- Strengths: classic links send visitors to any URL, so a
wa.melink with your own?text=message works as a button. A Community Channels link supports WhatsApp groups, and the help centre describes a Phone icon for your number. Analytics history runs from 28 days on Free to all time on Premium. - Limits: we found no documented WhatsApp icon, pre-filled message field or floating button in Linktree's help articles.
- Price note: shown in India: Free; Starter ₹220 a month billed annually or ₹360 monthly; Pro ₹440 a month billed annually or ₹650 monthly.
5. Beacons
- Best for: creators who want a WhatsApp link alongside a store, media kit and email.
- Strengths: a Links block can point to any URL, so a
wa.melink works; each link has click analytics and can be scheduled, animated or put on a countdown. - Limits: we found no help article for a dedicated WhatsApp icon or pre-filled message field.
- Price note: Free $0; Creator $10 a month.
6. Bio.link
- Best for: people who want a simple single-plan page and only need a WhatsApp icon.
- Strengths: a WhatsApp icon field where you enter your number in international format, according to Bio.link's help article.
- Limits: that article dates from 2021, and we found no documentation for a pre-filled message; test a full
wa.melink if you need one. Whether a permanent free plan exists wasn't clear from its homepage. - Price note: Pro at $14.99 a month, or $7.49 a month billed yearly, with a 7-day free trial.

Setup tips whichever tool you choose
A WhatsApp button is only as good as the link behind it. These steps work in any tool, our guide to WhatsApp orders from Instagram covers the replying side, and WhatsApp button with a pre-filled message goes deeper on writing the message.
- Write your number in international format with no plus sign, leading zeroes, brackets or dashes. An Indian number 98765 43210 becomes
https://wa.me/919876543210. - Add a message with
?text=and replace spaces with%20, for examplehttps://wa.me/919876543210?text=Hi%2C%20I%20want%20to%20order. WhatsApp places it in the text box; the buyer still taps send. - Name the product and price in the message, so you can reply with payment details straight away.
- Test on Android, iPhone and WhatsApp Web. WhatsApp says click to chat works on the phone app and on the web.
- Set a greeting and an away message in the WhatsApp Business app, so buyers get an answer at night.
- Put the button where buyers decide: next to the product, not only in the header.

Frequently asked questions
Can Linktree open WhatsApp with a message?
Yes, if you build the link yourself. Paste a wa.me link with your number and a ?text= message as a classic link, and WhatsApp opens with that text typed in. As of October 2026 we found no dedicated pre-filled message field in Linktree's help articles.
Is a floating WhatsApp button annoying?
It can be if it covers content or bounces constantly. Keep it small, put it in a corner away from your main buttons, and delay it until visitors have scrolled. On QKAP you can show it after 3 seconds or after 25% of the page, limit it to phones and tablets, and turn the attention animation off. Our floating contact button guide has more placement tips.
Can I count WhatsApp taps?
Some tools count them. QKAP counts taps on WhatsApp, call and link items in posts (not on its floating button or Social and contact links), Beacons shows click analytics per link, and Taplink lists click analytics on PRO. Dedicated generators can help too: as of October 2026, wa.link's paid tier listed click analytics, and our comparison of WhatsApp link generators and chat buttons explains the trade-offs. Note that Meta's docs say analytics aren't available for QR codes and short links created on the WhatsApp Business Platform.
Do I need the WhatsApp Business app for a chat button?
No. A wa.me link opens a chat with any number that has an active WhatsApp account. The Business app adds useful extras such as greeting and away messages, quick replies, labels and a catalogue.
What if my buyers are outside India?
Use your full number with its country code. On QKAP, a number written with + or 00 keeps its own country code, while a bare 10-digit number is treated as Indian.
