To give an agency access to your QKAP page, approve the manage request it sends you under Dashboard → Team → Agencies. You choose a preset, such as Content or Inbox, or tick exactly what the agency can do, on all your pages or only some. Changes the agency makes show in your team's activity log, and you can edit, pause or remove its access at any time, with removal taking effect straight away. The agency works with its own logins, so you never share your password.

Key takeaways

  • Nothing changes on your page until you approve a request at Team → Agencies.
  • Start with the smallest preset that covers the job and widen it later if the agency needs more.
  • Sensitive permissions (payment settings, page handles, order exports, emails, inbox management, customer and subscriber data) carry a warning. Leave them off unless the work truly needs them.
  • An agency can never manage your team, delete your pages or see your login and billing.
  • Remove access works instantly for the agency and all its staff, and their private notes about your pages are deleted.

What agency access on QKAP actually is

An agency on QKAP is a separate account that the QKAP team has approved as an agency: a talent manager, a social media team, a store operations partner. When you approve its request, the agency works on your pages with its own logins. You never share your password.

Agency staff reach your pages only through the agency, only on the pages the agency assigns them, and never beyond what you allowed. If you allow Content and the agency gives a junior staff member a smaller role, that person gets the overlap of the two. You can work with up to five agencies at once. The agency side of this is described on the agency accounts feature page.

Where manage requests show up and how to read one

Open Dashboard → Team → Agencies. Waiting requests sit at the top under Requests from agencies, and each card shows:

  • the agency's name and profile;
  • an optional message from the agency;
  • "Asking for" a preset on a set of pages, with the list of permissions that preset includes;
  • when it was sent and when it expires (requests expire 14 days after sending).

You then choose Review and approve or Decline. Declining lets you add an optional reason, which the agency sees, and that agency's requests won't reach you again for 30 days.

Before you approve, confirm the request with your contact at the agency by phone or email outside QKAP.

Presets vs custom access: start with the least the agency needs

Security people call this least privilege: give someone the access their job needs and nothing more. The approval dialog starts with whatever the agency asked for, and you can change it before you tap Give access.

Two presets include sensitive permissions. Store and orders lets the agency see your customers. Full management includes several, from order exports to sending emails. When a preset includes any, the dialog lists them and suggests Custom if you want to leave some out.

The sensitive permissions, in plain English

These are the permissions QKAP flags with a warning, and what each one lets an agency do:

  • Change payment settings: change where buyers pay you, meaning your UPI ID and payment links. No preset includes it; it only applies if you tick it under Custom.
  • Manage pages: publish, unpublish and change the handle of the pages they work on. Creating and deleting pages stays with you.
  • Export orders: download your buyers' names, emails and order history as a file.
  • Send emails: send broadcasts to your buyers and subscribers in your name.
  • Manage the inbox: change your message button, block senders and export every conversation.
  • See customers: view your buyers' names, emails and purchases.
  • See subscribers: view and export your subscribers' email addresses.

Buyer and subscriber data is personal data your followers trusted you with. If an agency needs it, agree in writing how they store it, who sees it and when they delete it. Our guide to privacy basics for creators collecting follower emails covers the basics. Payment settings deserve extra care: if an agency could change your UPI ID, buyers could end up paying someone else. Our walkthrough of store orders and payments shows how that money flows.

Choosing pages if you run more than one

Premium accounts can run several pages, and an agency doesn't have to see all of them. In the approval dialog, choose all your pages or tick specific ones. If you have a single page, the agency works on it and on pages you add later, unless you change that.

A common split: a brand-deals agency gets your main page only, while a side project stays private. You can change the page list later under Edit access.

Keeping an eye on changes: the activity log

Changes an agency makes on your pages are recorded in Team → Activity, the same log that tracks your own teammates. Entries name the person and the action, such as "edited a post", "changed the appearance", "replied to a message" or "updated an order's delivery". Access changes are logged too: when you give, change, pause or remove an agency's access.

Each agency's card also shows what it can do, on which pages, when it was last active, and the people at the agency who work on your pages.

A simple weekly routine keeps you in control:

  1. Skim Team → Activity for anything you didn't expect.
  2. Check the people list on the agency's card. Ask about any name you don't recognise.
  3. Look at your numbers. Our QKAP analytics guide explains which metrics show whether the agency's work is helping.

Changing or removing access, and what happens to work in progress

On each agency's card you have three controls:

  • Edit access: change the preset, the permissions or the pages. It takes effect on their next click.
  • Pause: stop access without ending the relationship, for example during a break or while you sort out a disagreement. Resume restores the same access.
  • Remove: the agency and its staff lose access to your pages right away, and their private notes about your pages are deleted. Requests from that agency won't reach you for 30 days.

Removal doesn't undo work. Posts, products, replies and design changes the agency already made stay on your page, because they are part of your page. After removing an agency, check your posts for anything scheduled that you didn't plan, and review recent activity.

If QKAP suspends an agency, its access stops at once and your card shows it as on hold. Separately, an agency can build a page for you and offer to transfer it. The offer appears on the same Agencies page, needs your password (plus a two-factor code if you use one) to accept, and expires after 7 days. If you log in with Google and have never set a password, set one in Settings first. Posts, products, orders and messages move with the page. Our guide to how agencies build a page and hand it over covers the transfer step by step.

How this compares with other ways to share access

Many creators still hand a manager their password. That gives full access, leaves no record of who changed what, and can only be undone by changing the password everywhere. Purpose-built access is safer. Here is how two link-in-bio tools handle it, as of October 2026, per their own help pages:

OptionWho can use itWhat the manager getsHow you end it

What to settle outside QKAP

Permissions are a technical control, not a contract. Agree the business side in writing first. This isn't legal advice: talk to a lawyer or trusted professional about anything involving money or exclusivity. Cover at least:

  • Fees and commission: what the agency earns, on which deals, and for how long after the relationship ends.
  • Exclusivity: whether you can work with other managers or brands directly.
  • Notice period: how either side ends the arrangement, and what happens to brand deals in progress.
  • Content and data: who owns content the agency creates, and what happens to any buyer or subscriber data they exported.
  • Access: which preset they need, reviewed every few months.

Frequently asked questions

Can an agency change where buyers pay me?

Only if you allow it. Changing payment settings isn't part of any preset, including Full management, so you would have to tick it yourself under Custom. If you do, the agency's card warns that it can change where buyers pay you. Most creators should leave it off.

Can an agency add people to my team?

No. Managing your team is never available to an agency, even under Custom. The agency's own staff can work on your pages, but only through the agency, only on pages it assigns them and never beyond what you allowed. You can see each of them on the agency's card.

Will my followers know an agency replies to messages?

Followers see replies from your page, the same as replies from your own teammates. Inside your inbox, each reply shows which person sent it. If you want to be open about it, mention in your inbox intro note that your team helps with messages.

How do I switch agencies?

Remove the old agency, which takes effect immediately, then ask the new agency to send a request and approve it. Because you can work with up to five agencies at once, you can overlap them during a handover. Give the new agency a smaller preset at first.

Does an agency need my password?

No. Agencies work with their own logins and can never see your login or billing. If anyone asks for your password, say no. If you shared it in the past, change it and turn on two-factor login in Settings → Security.

Do I need Premium to work with an agency?

No. You keep your own Free or Premium plan, and agency access works with either. The agency pays for its own agency account, which has custom pricing. Compare plans on the pricing page.
