From your QKAP dashboard you can email your subscribers, your buyers or both, without connecting a separate newsletter tool. Every email carries a personal unsubscribe link, replies come straight to you, and you can send up to three broadcasts a day. It's built for plain, personal launch and update emails, not for automated sequences or designed newsletters, and it's included on every plan.
Key takeaways
- Email broadcasts live at Dashboard → Store › Emails and work on the Free plan as well as Premium.
- Your list builds itself from page sign-ups, lead magnets and buyers who tick a box at checkout, plus everyone with a completed order.
- You pick an audience (Everyone, Subscribers, Customers or one product's waitlist), start from a ready-made starter or a blank page, and send.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link, people who unsubscribed are always left out, and you can send up to three broadcasts in 24 hours, each to up to 5,000 people.
- There's no scheduling, open-rate tracking or automation; if you need those, a dedicated newsletter platform is the better fit.
What is an email broadcast?
An email broadcast is one email sent to a group of people at the same time, such as "my new preset pack is live" sent to everyone who signed up on your page. It's different from an automated sequence, where each person gets a series of emails timed from the day they joined. QKAP's email broadcasts are the first kind: you write, you choose who gets it, you send.
For creators who sell from their bio, email matters because it doesn't depend on a feed. A reel can be missed; an email to people who asked to hear from you usually lands where they'll see it. It sits alongside channels like an Instagram broadcast channel, not instead of them.
Where your list comes from: page sign-ups, lead magnets and buyers
You don't upload a list into QKAP. It grows from what already happens on your page:
- Lead magnets. A lead magnet is a free product, such as a checklist or a mini-guide, that followers get in exchange for their name and email. Everyone who grabs one joins your subscriber list, and they're told so at checkout. This works on every plan.
- Buyers who tick the box. Each product has a setting called "Add buyers to my subscribers". When it's on, buyers see a checkbox at checkout and can choose to get your emails.
- The deal-alert sign-up card. A "Get deal alerts" card on your page lets followers subscribe without buying anything. This card is a Premium feature (see pricing).
- Customers. Anyone with a completed order counts as a customer: a paid order you've confirmed, or a free product they claimed. Someone who started checkout but never paid isn't included.
- Waitlists. People who joined a waitlist for a "coming soon" or sold-out product can be emailed about that one product.
Choosing an audience: Everyone, Subscribers, Customers or a waitlist
When you open Store › Emails, you'll see three audience cards, each with a live count:
- Everyone: subscribers and buyers together. Anyone who's in both groups gets one email, not two.
- Subscribers: people on your email list.
- Customers: everyone with a completed order, paid or free.
A fourth option, Waitlist, appears when you open Emails from a product's "Email the waitlist" button. It reaches only the people waiting for that product.
As a rule of thumb, send launches to Everyone, send buyer-only news (a new course lesson, a bonus file) to Customers, and send "it's open now" emails to the waitlist first.
Writing a broadcast: starters and plain, personal emails
Broadcasts are plain-text emails that read like a note from you. Links you paste become clickable, and a blank line starts a new paragraph. QKAP adds a "Visit your page" style button with your name, an unsubscribe line and a short footer explaining why the person received the email.
You can start from one of three starters, then edit freely:
- New product: "Something new just dropped", with your page link filled in.
- Discount: "A little thank-you (ends soon)", with an example code. Replace the example with a real code you've created in Store › Discounts, with the right percentage and end date, or followers will try a code that doesn't work.
- Update: "Quick update from me", for news without a sales link.
Subjects can be up to 140 characters. Before anything goes out, a confirmation shows exactly how many people will receive it. Once you confirm, it sends right away and can't be unsent, so read it once on your phone first.
Example broadcasts by type
| Broadcast type | Audience | Example subject line |
|---|---|---|
| New product launch | Everyone | My Diwali gifting guide is live |
| Launch-week discount | Subscribers | 20% off my Lightroom presets until Sunday |
| New lesson or bonus | Customers | New lesson added to your course |
| Product is open | Waitlist | Coaching slots for November are open |
| Personal update | Everyone | What I'm working on this month |
If an email promotes a brand that paid you or sent you something free, disclose it the same way you would in a post.
Unsubscribe links and respecting opt-outs
Every broadcast includes a personal unsubscribe link, and QKAP also adds one-click unsubscribe headers that many email apps show as an "Unsubscribe" button next to the sender. When someone unsubscribes:
- they stop getting deal alerts and broadcasts from you;
- they still receive emails about their own orders, such as access links;
- they're left out of every future broadcast automatically, even one that was already sending when they clicked;
- they can sign up again from your page later if they choose.
You don't need to maintain a "do not email" list by hand. The privacy basics for collecting follower emails are still worth reading, because the tool handles the mechanics but your habits decide whether people want to stay.
Broadcast limits and the Sent history
A few limits keep lists healthy and protect deliverability for everyone sending through QKAP:
- Up to three broadcasts in any 24 hours. An attempt that's refused before sending, for example because the audience is empty, doesn't use one of your three.
- Up to 5,000 recipients per broadcast.
- Emails send in the background. You can close the page after confirming.
Below the composer, a Sent list shows your recent broadcasts with subject, audience, date and time, how many went out compared with the number of recipients, and a status (Sending, Sent or Failed).
If you work with a team, only people whose role includes the "Send emails" permission can send. The built-in Admin role has it; you can add it to a custom role.
Consent basics for creators in India and abroad (high level)
This is general information, not legal advice. Rules on marketing email differ by country and can depend on where your subscribers live. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU's GDPR and US commercial-email rules are the ones creators most often ask about. Some simple habits fit all of them:
- Only email people who signed up or bought from you. Never add someone because they commented or sent a DM.
- Send what you promised at sign-up. Deal alerts shouldn't turn into daily unrelated promotions.
- Keep every email clearly from you, with a working unsubscribe link (QKAP adds this).
- Email customers about things connected to what they bought, and keep it occasional.
- If you're building a large list across several countries, ask a professional.
When to move to a dedicated newsletter tool
QKAP broadcasts suit creators who send a few launch, discount and update emails a month to people who found them through their page. A dedicated newsletter platform makes more sense if you need:
- automated welcome sequences or drip emails;
- segments by interest or behaviour beyond subscribers, customers and waitlists;
- A/B tests, open and click tracking;
- designed HTML templates;
- more than 5,000 recipients per send, or more than three sends a day;
- a public newsletter archive or a paid newsletter.
Check each tool's current pricing page before switching. You can also use both: QKAP for page-driven launches and buyer updates, and a newsletter tool for a weekly long-form issue. For buyer communication around renewals, see membership renewals and retention.
Frequently asked questions
Can I import an existing list?
No. QKAP doesn't import email lists: your list builds from sign-ups, lead magnets and buyers on your page, so there's nothing to connect or upload. If you already have a list elsewhere, keep emailing it from that tool, or invite those people to grab a lead magnet on your page so their consent is recorded in QKAP.
Which address do emails come from?
QKAP broadcasts are sent from QKAP's sending address, with your name in the email and footer. Replies go to the address set under "Send order alerts to" in Store › Payments, or your account email if that's empty, so conversations land in your own inbox.
Can I schedule a broadcast?
Not at the moment. A QKAP broadcast sends as soon as you confirm it. Draft the email ahead of time in a notes app, then paste and send it when your launch goes live.
Will I see open rates?
No. QKAP doesn't track opens or clicks in broadcasts. The Sent list shows how many emails went out, and you can judge results from page analytics, new orders and how many times a discount code was used. Our guide to store orders and payments shows where those orders appear.
Is email broadcasting free?
Yes. On QKAP, broadcasts, lead magnets and the customer list work on every plan, and Store › Customers can export buyers and subscribers as a CSV on Free too. The deal-alert sign-up card and the export on the Subscribers page are Premium; pricing has the full comparison.
Start with one useful email: tell the people who already bought from you what's new, and invite your next subscribers with a lead magnet.
