Best WhatsApp Order Tools for Instagram Sellers in India (2026)
WhatsApp Business app, API tools like Wati, Interakt and AiSensy, and link-in-bio order buttons ranked for Instagram sellers in India, with criteria and costs.
On this page
For most Instagram sellers in India, the best WhatsApp order setup is the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, plus a link-in-bio page whose order buttons open a chat with the product already named. Move to a WhatsApp Business Platform (API) provider such as AiSensy, Interakt or Wati only when your chat volume needs automation, broadcasts, several agents or in-chat payment. The API usually means a provider subscription plus Meta's per-message charges, so it pays off at volume, not for a few orders a day.
Key takeaways
- The WhatsApp Business app ranks first for solo sellers: short link, QR code, a catalogue of up to 500 items, cart, greeting and away messages, quick replies and labels.
- A link-in-bio page with WhatsApp order buttons (QKAP, our product, ranks second) fixes the "price?" problem by starting every chat with the item, price and a reference.
- API providers suit teams and brands. As of October 2026, AiSensy had the lowest entry point of the providers we checked (a free plan), Interakt's Growth plan listed checkout and order-management features, and Wati offered a full team inbox.
- On the API, Meta charges per message (since 1 July 2025) and providers add their own subscription.
- Paying inside WhatsApp in India is an API feature that runs through partner payment gateways; on the Business app you still share a UPI ID or payment link.
How we ranked WhatsApp order tools
We ranked tools for one reader: an Instagram seller in India taking somewhere between a handful and a few dozen orders a day, mostly from reels. The criteria and their weights:
| Criterion | Weight | What we looked for |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | 25% | Price to start, free plan, per-message charges |
| Order capture | 20% | Does the chat start with the product, price and quantity? |
| Setup time | 15% | Minutes on a phone vs onboarding and template approvals |
| Catalogue | 15% | Can buyers browse products before they message? |
| Automation | 15% | Auto-replies, chatbots, broadcasts, team inbox |
| Payments | 10% | UPI, payment links, in-chat checkout |
Method. We read each tool's public pricing page, product pages and help docs in October 2026 and credit only documented features. Prices are as of October 2026, as shown to a visitor in India; they change and often exclude GST, so check the current page. We have hands-on use of QKAP because we build it.
Our bias. QKAP is our product. We included it because it is a real option for this job, but it is not a WhatsApp tool: it is a link-in-bio page and store that sends buyers into your normal WhatsApp chat. We ranked it below the WhatsApp Business app for that reason, and you can skip it entirely if you don't want a bio page.
The ranking: best WhatsApp order tools for Indian sellers
1. WhatsApp Business app
- Best for: solo sellers and small shops replying to orders by hand.
- Strengths: WhatsApp's features page lists a business profile, greeting message, away message, quick replies, labels, a catalogue, catalogue links and a cart. A short link is created automatically (Tools, then Short link) and can carry a default message, and the QR code doesn't expire unless you reset it. The catalogue holds up to 500 items with up to 10 photos or videos each, and buyers can send a cart to your chat.
- Limits: every reply is manual, and WhatsApp's help centre describes the cart as something buyers send to the chat to "discuss payment options", not a checkout. Business broadcasts are only for eligible users in select countries.
- Price note: WhatsApp lists QR codes and short links among its free entry points. Its features page shows no plan prices; check the app's store listing for current terms.
2. QKAP (link in bio with WhatsApp order buttons)
- Best for: creators and sellers who show products in reels and want each chat to start with the exact item.
- Strengths: a post item can be a WhatsApp order button. Its pre-filled message starts with your own text (up to 300 characters), then the item title, price, coupon, "From: @handle · post #N", a short reference like "Ref: Q23-P2" and the item's link. Order buttons add "Quantity", "Name" and "Delivery PIN code" lines for the buyer to fill in. Taps on these post buttons are counted in analytics, and an optional floating button can also open your WhatsApp chat from every page. The store can also take UPI payments to your own UPI ID, with no QKAP commission. See WhatsApp and call orders.
- Limits: QKAP doesn't send WhatsApp messages, doesn't use the WhatsApp Business API and doesn't create orders from chats. You still reply in your own WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, and you confirm UPI payments yourself.
- Price note: WhatsApp order buttons work on the Free plan, which allows up to 10 live posts and 30 items across your posts. Premium removes those caps; see pricing.
3. AiSensy
- Best for: small brands that want the official API cheaply and plan to grow into broadcasts.
- Strengths: a Free Forever plan (₹0) with API access, live chat and ₹50 of conversation credits; paid plans from Basic at ₹1,500 a month, which includes one owner and five agents.
- Limits: broadcasting isn't on the free plan. Chatbot flows for cart management and catalogue sharing are a ₹2,500-a-month add-on, and an AI agent is another ₹1,350 a month for 1,000 AI messages.
- Price note: AiSensy listed India rates from 1 October 2026, for example ₹1.09 per marketing message, on top of the plan. These are AiSensy's own published rates.
4. Interakt
- Best for: Indian D2C and Shopify sellers who want catalogue, checkout and order updates on WhatsApp.
- Strengths: the Growth plan lists WhatsApp catalogue creation, a checkout bot, an order management panel and native WhatsApp Pay, plus Shopify, Razorpay and PayU integrations. Plans cover both WhatsApp and Instagram from Growth upward.
- Limits: the ₹999 monthly Starter plan is Instagram-only, and the WhatsApp Starter plan was shown only on quarterly billing (₹3,499 a quarter). Message charges are added to the subscription.
- Price note: Growth was ₹2,799 a month and Advanced ₹3,799 a month on monthly billing, plus taxes and message charges above the free limit.
5. Wati
- Best for: businesses with a support or sales team sharing one number.
- Strengths: a team inbox on the official API with catalogues, broadcasts, chatbots, AI agents and Shopify integration; 7-day free trial, no setup fee.
- Limits: the Growth plan includes three users with no option to add more; template and service messages cost extra.
- Price note: Growth was ₹2,999 a month on monthly billing (₹2,199 a month billed annually); Pro ₹6,499 and Business ₹18,499 a month on monthly billing.
6. Gallabox
- Best for: sales teams that want a lead-to-sale pipeline across WhatsApp, Instagram and a web widget.
- Strengths: Basic lists catalogue and payments, chatbot flows and all three channels; the free trial needs no card.
- Limits: there is no free plan, Basic has a hard cap of three users, and only quarterly or annual billing was shown.
- Price note: Basic was ₹2,999 a month billed quarterly (₹2,399 billed annually); WhatsApp conversation fees are billed separately.

Also worth knowing: generators such as wa.link build the same wa.me link you can make yourself; as of October 2026, wa.link's Premium tier ($9 a year per link) added an editable, branded link with click analytics. Our comparison of WhatsApp link generators and link-in-bio chat buttons covers that choice in detail.
Growing from app to API: signs it's time
The Business app and a good bio page cover a lot. Our guide to taking WhatsApp orders from Instagram walks through a daily routine that keeps chats manageable. Consider an API provider when several of these are true:
- More than one person needs to answer the same number at the same time.
- You send the same order updates (confirmed, shipped, delivered) to many buyers every day.
- Quick replies no longer keep up with repeated questions, and a chatbot would genuinely help.
- You want to broadcast offers to opted-in customers at scale.
- You want buyers to pay inside WhatsApp rather than in a separate UPI app.
If only one or two apply, fix the front end first: clear prices, a pre-filled order message (see our WhatsApp order message templates) and, for some sellers, call-to-order buttons cut the back-and-forth without a monthly bill. If payment is the bottleneck, read what to check in creator tools with UPI payments. Still choosing between WhatsApp's own catalogue and a bio-page shop? See WhatsApp Business catalog vs a link-in-bio store.
To try it, add a WhatsApp order button to a post on a free QKAP page and test it on your phone.
Frequently asked questions
Is the WhatsApp Business API free?
No. Since 1 July 2025, Meta charges per template message, with the rate set by the message category (marketing, utility or authentication) and the recipient's country. Providers such as Wati, Interakt and AiSensy charge their own subscription on top; AiSensy's free plan, for example, includes only ₹50 of conversation credits and no broadcasting. Several providers say message charges changed again in October 2026, so check your provider's current rate card.
Which is better, Wati or Interakt?
It depends on the job. As of October 2026, Interakt's Growth plan listed more order-specific features (a checkout bot, an order management panel and native WhatsApp Pay), while Wati's pricing page listed a shared team inbox, catalogues, broadcasts, chatbots and AI agents. Wati's Growth plan includes three users with no option to add more. Trial each with your real order flow before you commit.
Can buyers pay inside WhatsApp?
On the WhatsApp Business Platform in India, yes: Meta's docs describe paying through partner gateways (BillDesk, Razorpay, PayU and Zaakpay) without leaving WhatsApp, in rupees, by UPI, card, wallet or net banking. You reach it through the API and a provider. On the Business app, sellers still share a UPI ID or a payment link in the chat.
Do I need the API to take orders on WhatsApp?
No. A wa.me link opens a chat with any number that has an active WhatsApp account, and it can carry a pre-filled message. A small seller can run entirely on the Business app plus order buttons on a bio page.
Does QKAP send WhatsApp messages for me?
No. QKAP builds the order button and its pre-filled message, counts the taps and gives you a store with UPI checkout. The conversation itself happens in your own WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app.
