If you need cash on delivery and courier integrations, a full store builder is the safer pick: as of October 2026, Instamojo listed COD on its free Lite plan and named shipping-partner integrations in its FAQ, and Shopify supports COD as a manual payment method. If you sell a handful of products through reels and want buyers to pay you directly by UPI, a link-in-bio store with stock, delivery fees and tracking, such as QKAP (our product), can be enough. The ranking below explains which fits which seller and why.

Key takeaways

  • Cash on delivery is the biggest dividing line. Instamojo and Shopify document it; QKAP has no COD checkout.
  • Courier integrations, label printing and shipping-rate calculation belong to full store builders, not link-in-bio tools.
  • A link-in-bio store suits a small range sold through reels: buyers see the product, pay by UPI and you ship by hand.
  • Prepaid UPI to your own account reaches you straight away; COD cash usually arrives later and carries a per-order COD fee from the courier.
  • QKAP is our product. We ranked it fourth for this job and explain why below.

How we ranked stores for physical products

We ranked tools for an Instagram seller in India shipping real products such as clothing, jewellery, food or home goods. Criteria and weights:

CriterionWeightWhat we looked for
Cash on delivery20%COD at checkout, documented by the tool
Shipping and tracking15%Courier integrations, or at least a place to give buyers tracking
UPI15%UPI at checkout
Stock10%Stock counts that stop overselling
Delivery fees10%Charge delivery at checkout
Address capture10%Full delivery address with PIN code
Link-in-bio fit10%Does it work well as the page behind your Instagram bio?
Cost10%Free plan, monthly fee, per-order fees

Method. We read each tool's pricing page and help docs in October 2026 and only credit what is documented there. "Check" in a table means we couldn't confirm it, not that it's missing. Prices and fees are as of October 2026 and change often. We have hands-on use of QKAP because we build it.

Our bias. QKAP is our product. It ranks below the full store builders here because it has no COD, courier integration or shipping-rate calculation, which matter a lot to physical sellers. Dukaan's place above QKAP is a judgement call we want to be open about: its documented delivery service covers shipping, the hardest part for physical sellers, but we couldn't confirm its COD, UPI or fees, so on documented features alone QKAP would score higher. If Dukaan's terms don't suit you, QKAP is the simpler option. QKAP earns its place for creators mixing content with a small product range.

The ranking: stores for physical products in India

1. Instamojo

  • Best for: small Indian sellers who need COD and shipping integrations without a big monthly bill.
  • Strengths: a free Lite store plan; physical products with cash on delivery on the Lite, Starter and Growth plans; shipping-partner integrations (Instamojo's FAQ names Shiprocket, Shipway, Pickrr and Vamaship), with advanced shipping rules on Growth; UPI, cards, net banking and wallets through its own gateway.
  • Limits: Instamojo lists gateway charges of 2% + ₹3 per transaction and a store transaction fee of 5% + ₹3 on Lite and Starter (2% + ₹3 on Growth), plus 18% GST on its fees; check how these combine on your plan. Settlement is three days after the transaction unless you pay for faster payouts.
  • Price note: Lite is ₹0; paid plan prices on Instamojo's page were inconsistent when we checked, so confirm them there.

2. Shopify

  • Best for: growing brands with larger catalogues, variants and a shipping workflow.
  • Strengths: a full e-commerce platform with inventory and shipping apps. Cash on delivery is a manual payment method: you mark the order paid once you receive the money, and Shopify says it doesn't charge third-party transaction fees on manual payments.
  • Limits: it is the most expensive option here, and more setup than a bio page. Card and UPI payments run through a payment provider, with a third-party fee of 2% on Basic.
  • Price note: Basic ₹1,994 a month billed monthly, or ₹1,499 a month billed yearly; Grow ₹5,599 a month billed yearly.

3. Dukaan

  • Best for: Indian sellers who want a store builder with its own delivery service.
  • Strengths: a live online store builder with a "Start free" option and "Dukaan delivery", which Dukaan describes as a pan-India shipping partner. Its pricing page also lists a WhatsApp chat bubble for stores.
  • Limits: we couldn't read plan details, COD terms or per-order fees clearly on Dukaan's official pages in October 2026, so confirm them before you choose.
  • Price note: check Dukaan's pricing page.

4. QKAP

  • Best for: creators and small sellers who sell a few products through reels and want buyers to pay them directly.
  • Strengths: physical products with stock limits, quantity up to 20 per order, a delivery address with state and PIN code, and a delivery fee that is never discounted. Orders move through unfulfilled, processing, shipped, delivered and returned; you add the courier and a tracking number or link (with suggestions such as Delhivery, Blue Dart, DTDC, India Post and Shiprocket) and send a ready-made WhatsApp "shipped" message. Paid orders not delivered within 7 days are flagged. Buyers pay your own UPI ID or your payment link, with no QKAP commission. WhatsApp order buttons ask buyers for quantity, name and delivery PIN code. See orders and customers.
  • Limits: no cash on delivery, courier integration, label printing or shipping-rate calculation, and inventory is a stock count only. You confirm UPI payments yourself. It isn't a full e-commerce platform.
  • Price note: the store, including physical products, is on every plan, including Free. The Free plan's caps apply to posts (10 live posts and 30 items across them), not to store listings, which every plan can add up to 100 of per page; Premium removes the post caps. See pricing.

5. Beacons

  • Best for: creators who mainly sell digital goods and occasionally ship something.
  • Strengths: a creator page with a store, media kit and email. Beacons' help article explains a workaround for physical items: create a product, require a full address at checkout, ship it yourself and email the tracking.
  • Limits: Beacons says the platform is optimised for digital goods; payouts go to Stripe or PayPal, and UPI isn't mentioned on its pricing page.
  • Price note: Free and Creator ($10 a month) carry a 9% store fee; Creator Plus ($30 a month) has 0%.
  • Best for: sellers who already run a Shopify store and want their bio page to show a few products.
  • Strengths: the Shopify Link App shows up to six products from your Shopify store on your Linktree, so checkout, COD and shipping stay in Shopify.
  • Limits: you need Shopify behind it, so you pay for both; Linktree isn't running its own physical-product checkout here.
  • Price note: Linktree prices vary by region; check its pricing page, plus Shopify's plan.

When to graduate to a full store

A link-in-bio store is a good start, especially alongside WhatsApp. Our guide to taking WhatsApp orders from Instagram shows how, and selling physical products from your bio covers stock, shipping and tracking step by step. Consider a full store builder when:

  1. Buyers keep asking for cash on delivery and you're losing orders without it.
  2. You pack more orders a day than you can comfortably enter tracking for by hand.
  3. You need size and colour variants, or a catalogue too big for a grid of posts.
  4. You want shipping rates calculated by weight and PIN code instead of one flat delivery fee.
  5. Returns and exchanges become a regular part of your week.

On COD costs: with courier aggregators such as Shiprocket, the COD fee is the higher of a fixed charge or a percentage of the order value and depends on the courier, and the cash reaches you later than a prepaid UPI payment. Factor that into your prices, and see UPI QR vs payment gateway vs cash on delivery for the full trade-off. For a closer head-to-head of three options from this list, read QKAP vs Instamojo vs Dukaan.

Not sure whether you need a store at all? Compare Instagram Shop vs a link-in-bio page, see how a shoppable link in bio works, and read what to check in creator tools with UPI payments. To test prepaid UPI orders with no commission, try UPI payments on QKAP.

Frequently asked questions

Which tools support cash on delivery?

As of October 2026, Instamojo lists COD on its Lite, Starter and Growth store plans, and Shopify supports COD as a manual payment method. We couldn't confirm COD terms on Dukaan's pages, so check there. QKAP has no COD checkout; if you agree COD with a buyer over WhatsApp, you handle it outside QKAP.

Do I need a GST number to sell online?

Whether you need to register depends on your own situation, so check with a chartered accountant before you start. Platforms also charge GST on their own fees; Instamojo, for example, charges 18% GST on its fees. QKAP receipts can show your GSTIN if you add one, but they aren't guaranteed to be a compliant tax invoice.

How do I add tracking for buyers?

On QKAP, open the order, mark it shipped, add the courier name and tracking number or link, and send the ready-made WhatsApp message. On Beacons, you email tracking yourself. On Instamojo you can connect shipping partners, and on Shopify you can add shipping apps.

Can I sell physical products with UPI only?

Yes. Prepaid UPI is simple for small sellers: the money reaches you before you ship, and there's no COD fee. On QKAP, buyers pay your UPI ID, can add their UTR, and you confirm the payment before packing.

For a few products sold through reels, often yes. Once you need COD, courier integrations or variants at scale, move to a full store builder and keep your bio page as the front door.
