# Themes and design Pick a template, theme, colours, fonts, buttons, banner and more in the Design editor to make your page look like you. Source: https://qkap.app/docs/themes-and-design **Dashboard → Design** is one editor for your whole page. The left column lists your page's sections, the middle shows your page on a phone, and the right column holds the settings of whatever you select. With nothing selected, it shows **Theme settings**: the look of your whole page. Nothing goes live until you tap **Save**. See the [feature page](https://qkap.app/features/themes) for examples. To change the order of sections or add blocks, see [Page layout](https://qkap.app/docs/page-layout). ## How the editor works - **Theme settings** (right column, nothing selected): Templates & styles, Colours, Background, Typography, Buttons, Cards, Spacing, Show on your page and Social icons. Tap a group to open it. - **Header and footer rows** (left column): **Announcement bar** and **Profile header** sit above your sections, **Floating button** and **QKAP branding** below them. Select one to change it on the right. - **Preview** (middle): tap any part of your page, including your header, to select it. - **Undo and redo**: the arrows in the top bar, or ⌘Z and ⇧⌘Z (Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z on Windows). - **Save** saves your look and your sections together. **Discard** goes back to what's live. On a phone, switch between **Sections**, **Style** and **Preview** at the top. The **Save** button stays at the bottom of the screen. ## Start with a template **Templates** give you a complete look in one tap: header, colours, fonts, cards and buttons. There are 6 templates, and every creator can use them. 1. Go to **Dashboard → Design**. 2. Under **Theme settings**, open **Templates & styles** and tap a template. 3. Fine-tune anything else, or tap **Undo** to go back. 4. Tap **Save**. Open **Quick colour styles** for lighter presets that change just the colours and style. ## Header Select **Profile header** at the top of the sections list (or tap your header in the preview) to choose how your photo, name and bio are arranged: - **Classic**: photo beside your name. - **Centered**: everything in the middle. - **Hero**: big photo, name on top. - **Cover**: cover photo, name below. - **Backdrop**: photo behind your page. - **Compact**: small photo, icons in a row. Your name, photo and bio are edited in [Profile and bio](https://qkap.app/docs/profile-and-bio). ## Colours and theme - **Theme**: sets your background, text and card colours. Classic and Midnight are free. Noir, Cream, Blush, Ocean, Sage, Lavender and Mono need [Premium](https://qkap.app/pricing). - **Accent colour**: used for Shop buttons, active filters and highlights. If it's hard to read on your theme, QKAP warns you. - **Accent glow**: a soft wash of your accent colour behind the top of your page. - **Custom colours**: override the page background, text, cards or buttons. Text always stays readable: a colour that's too faint is swapped for black or white. - **Background**: add a soft gradient or a subtle pattern (dots, grid or lines). ## Typography Pick a font that sets the mood, like Modern, Elegant, Friendly, Bold, Editorial, Luxe, Playful or Handwritten. Open **Heading font** to use a different font for your name and section titles. ## Posts, buttons and cards - **Posts grid**: select the **Posts** section to pick **Grid** (3 tiles a row), **Cards** (2 a row with a product) or **List** (1 post a row). For the grid, pick **Seamless** tiles like Instagram or **Rounded** tiles with gaps. **Post numbers** (the #N badge on each post) is here too. - **Buttons**: the shape of your Shop buttons, links, chips and cards (Rounded, Pill or Square), plus Shop button style and shadow. - **Cards**: how your shop products, link cards and blocks look. - **Social icons**: how your Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and website icons look in the header. - **Shop layout**: select the **Shop** section to choose how its products look. ## Floating button and announcement bar - **Floating button**: a button in the corner of your pages that opens your contact links, either as a menu or one chat straight away. Select it at the bottom of the sections list. - **Announcement bar**: a line of news at the top or bottom of your pages, like a sale or a new drop. You can add a button, a schedule and a countdown, and let visitors close it. Select it at the top of the sections list. The eye button on either row turns it on or off. ## Banner and branding (Premium) - **Banner**: an optional full-width cover image above your profile photo, under **Profile header**. The Hero, Cover and Backdrop headers can use it too. - **Hide QKAP branding**: removes the small "Create your own page · QKAP" footer. Select **QKAP branding** at the bottom of the sections list. Both need [Premium](https://qkap.app/pricing). ## Show on your page Hide what you don't need. Nothing is deleted: - **Post and product counts**: the "12 posts · 35 products" line under your name. - **Search and filters**: lets followers search a post number like #23 and filter by category or store. - **Hide expired deals**: hides posts whose every deal has ended. Their post links still work. To start over, open **Templates & styles** and use **Reset to the default look**. ## Common questions ### I picked a Premium theme on Free. What happens? Your page shows a free theme instead until you upgrade. Your choice is kept. ### Can I change the order of sections on my page? Yes, in the same editor: drag sections in the list on the left.
