# Short links

Copy the short link for any post or product and see which platform the clicks came from.

Every post gets a short, trackable link for stories, DMs and comments. Each product in a post gets one too.

## Find a post's short link

1. Open a saved post in **Dashboard → Posts**.
2. Scroll to **Short links**.
3. Use the post's short link button and choose a copy option.

The post link opens the post on your page. Products you add or change get their own short link when you save. Product short links go straight to the store.

> Tip: A post's short link is created when you save it. Until the post is live, the link opens your profile instead, then switches to the post automatically.

## Copy for a platform

The copy menu has plain **Copy** plus platform copies:

- **Copy for Instagram story**
- **Copy for X**
- **Copy for YouTube**
- **Copy for WhatsApp**
- **Copy for Telegram**

Platform copies add a tag, so [Analytics](https://qkap.app/docs/analytics) shows where visits came from.

## Where to use them

- Reply to "where's that from?" in DMs with one link to the exact post.
- Add them to an Instagram story link sticker. They open in the Instagram browser like your main page.
- Share in WhatsApp, X or iMessage, where they show the post's image and title.

## Common questions

### Do short links expire?

No. They keep pointing to the post for as long as the post exists.

### If I edit the post, does the link change?

No. Edit the products and the short link still points to the same post.

### Can I see clicks per link?

Yes. Analytics shows views and product clicks per post, with the sources they came from.
