# Set up your cafe or restaurant

Turn on QKAP's cafe and restaurant tools, find your way around the overview, and see what Free and Premium include.

QKAP can show your menu, opening hours, map and order buttons right on your link-in-bio page. This guide walks you through the quick setup and the **Cafe & restaurant** overview screen.

## Run the quick setup

The first time you open **Dashboard → Cafe & restaurant** (in the Page group), you see a short setup card called **Set up your cafe or restaurant**.

1. Under **What kind of place is it?**, pick one: Restaurant, Cafe, Bakery, Bar, Cloud kitchen, Sweet shop, Ice cream shop, Food truck or Other.
2. Leave **Start with suggested menu sections** on if you want a head start. A restaurant gets sections like Starters, Main course and Drinks; a cafe gets Coffee, Tea and more. You can rename or delete them later.
3. If you can edit the page layout, you can tick **Put Visit us and Menu at the top of my page**. Otherwise they appear under your links.
4. Tap **Set up**.

QKAP then takes you to **Location & hours** so you can add your address and opening hours next. Your hours use your page's timezone and menu prices use your page's currency. You can change both later.

> If you already added a phone number in **Profile → Social & contact**, the Call button uses it automatically.

## The overview screen

After setup, **Dashboard → Cafe & restaurant** becomes your hub. From top to bottom you'll find:

- **View on page**: opens the Visit us section of your live page.
- **Show on my page**: one switch that shows or hides both the Visit us and Menu sections. Turning it off hides them and stops your order, call and directions links. Nothing is deleted.
- Three summary cards: **Location & hours**, **Menu** and **Order & review buttons**, each with a link to edit.
- **Business details**: the kind of place, up to 6 cuisines and a price range from 1 to 4. These show at the top of Visit us, like "Cafe · South Indian, Coffee · ₹₹".
- **Plan usage**: meters for your menu sections, items, photos and buttons.
- **Taps in the last 7 days**: order, booking, review, directions and call taps, with a link to [Analytics](https://qkap.app/docs/analytics).
- **Remove all cafe & restaurant info**: deletes your menu, photos, hours, address and buttons for good. You have to type `REMOVE` to confirm.

If Visit us or Menu is hidden in your page layout, a note at the top tells you, with a link to show them in **Design**. See [Page layout](https://qkap.app/docs/page-layout).

## Free vs Premium limits

Location, hours, the map and the menu are all on the Free plan. Premium raises the limits.

| Menu photos | 3 | 20 |
| Order, booking and review buttons | 4 | 20 |

If you go over a Free limit (for example after Premium ends), nothing is deleted. Your page shows the first ones in your order, and the rest are marked **Hidden on Free** in your dashboard. ## Common questions

### Can guests order and pay on QKAP?

No. Your menu is for browsing. Guests order on the apps you link, such as Zomato or Swiggy, or call you.

### Can I run more than one branch?

Yes. Give each branch its own page with its own menu and hours. Free includes 1 page and Premium up to 5.

### How do I hide everything for a while?

Turn off **Show on my page** on the overview. Your info stays saved, ready to switch back on.
