# Profile and bio

Set your profile photo, display name, bio, social and contact links, and affiliate disclosure.

Your profile is the top of your page: the first thing followers see when they tap your bio link. You edit it in **Dashboard → Profile**, with a live preview of your page beside the form.

## Profile photo

1. Go to **Dashboard → Profile**.
2. Under **Profile photo**, tap **Upload photo** (or **Change photo**).
3. Pick a JPG, PNG or WebP image up to 10 MB. Square works best.

Your photo shows with a story ring at the top of your page. It's saved as soon as it uploads. Use the same photo as your Instagram so followers know it's you.

## Name and bio

Under **About you**:

- **Display name**: shown at the top of your page, up to 50 characters.
- **Bio**: tell followers what you share, like "Daily finds under ₹999 · Skincare & home". Up to 300 characters.

Tap **Save changes**. Changes go live as soon as you save.

> Your username (the qkap.app/yourname part) isn't set here. Change it in **Dashboard → Settings**.

## Social and contact links

**Social & contact** holds your profiles and the ways followers can reach you, like Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram, WhatsApp, email and a phone number to call.

1. Tap **Add socials** (or **Add another**).
2. Paste a link or number. QKAP works out which app it is. If it can't tell, pick the app and paste it there.
3. For WhatsApp, enter the number you use on WhatsApp and tap the flag to change the country. You can also set the message followers start with.
4. Choose how it shows: **Icon** for a small icon in your header, or **Button** for a full-width button with your own **Button text**.
5. Use **Move up** and **Move down** to set the order, or **Remove** to delete one.
6. Tap **Save changes**.

You can add up to 15 links.

### Floating button only

If you use the floating contact button (set up in [Design](https://qkap.app/docs/themes-and-design)), you can tick **Show these links only in the floating button**. On phones and tablets they then appear only in the floating button. Your header keeps them on computers.

## Affiliate disclosure

**Affiliate disclosure** is shown at the bottom of your page. Many platforms and regulators expect a clear disclosure when you earn from links. Write your own text, up to 300 characters.

## Common questions

### Why isn't my new photo on my page?

Check that the upload finished. The photo saves as soon as it uploads, so refresh your page after a moment.

### Can followers message me from my page?

Yes. Add WhatsApp, email or a phone number here, or turn on the QKAP [Inbox](https://qkap.app/docs/inbox) for messages and brand deals.

### How do I show socials as big buttons instead of icons?

Set each link to **Button** in **Social & contact** and give it button text.
