# Memberships

Create monthly or yearly membership plans, confirm renewals, and lock posts so only paying members can see them.

Run a paid membership from your page. Members pay you monthly or yearly, and you choose which posts only they can see.

## Create a plan

1. Go to **Dashboard → Memberships** and tap **Create your first plan**. You can also pick **Membership** under **Dashboard → Products**.
2. Add a title, a short pitch and a cover in **Details**.
3. In **Pricing**, set the **Price** and choose **Billed**: **Monthly** or **Yearly**.
4. Optionally add posts that only members see in the **Members-only posts** section of the editor.
5. Write a welcome note in **Thank-you message**.
6. Tap **Publish**.

You can have more than one plan. Edit a plan anytime to change its price, cover, FAQs or welcome message. New and renewing members pay the new price.

## How members join

1. A follower taps a locked post or your plan, then logs in or creates a free account.
2. They pick a plan and pay you directly by UPI or your payment link.
3. You check the money arrived, then tap **Mark as paid** in **Dashboard → Orders**.
4. Your members-only posts unlock for their account whenever they're logged in, on any device.

Members get access for one period (a month or a year). Their page always shows when access runs until.

## Renewals

Renewals aren't automatic. Members pay you again each period. On a paid membership order, tap **Confirm renewal** in **Orders** and their access extends by another period.

When access ends, members-only posts lock again and the member sees a button to renew.

## Lock posts for members

Locking posts on your page is a Premium feature. See [Plans and Premium](https://qkap.app/docs/plans-and-premium).

- Mark a post members-only from the post editor. See [Members-only posts](https://qkap.app/docs/members-only-posts).
- Unlock a post for any member, or only for a specific plan.
- Followers who haven't joined see a blurred tile with a lock, your message and your plans.
- You can also lock later parts of a [reel series](https://qkap.app/docs/reel-series).

The plan editor shows how many members-only posts it unlocks, with links to **Lock posts** or **Manage posts**.

## The Memberships screen

**Dashboard → Memberships** shows:

- **Active members**, **Members-only posts** and **Monthly revenue** (an estimate from active members' last payments, with yearly plans divided by 12).
- **Plans**: what followers can buy.
- **Members**: who's active and when they renew.
- **Paywall settings**: how members-only posts look to visitors who haven't joined.

> If your shop is off, followers can't buy a plan. Turn it on in **Dashboard → Payments**.

## Common questions

### Do I need Premium to sell memberships?

Selling plans uses your store, which is on the Free plan. Locking posts and series parts for members is part of Premium.

### Are renewals automatic?

No. Members pay you again, and you confirm the renewal in Orders.

### What happens when access ends?

Members-only posts lock again at the end of the paid period. Renewing unlocks them.
