# Members-only posts

Lock posts for paying members, choose what other followers see, and pick which plans unlock each post.

Mark any post members-only. Followers see a blurred tile with a lock and your plans; members log in and everything opens.

> Locking posts and series parts is part of QKAP Premium. Your membership plans are your own: you set their prices and members pay you directly. See [pricing](https://qkap.app/pricing).

## Before you start

You need at least one membership plan, monthly or yearly at your own price. Create one in **Dashboard → Memberships**. See [Memberships](https://qkap.app/docs/memberships). Followers can't buy a draft plan, so publish it first.

## Lock a post

1. Open a post in **Dashboard → Posts**.
2. Under **Visibility**, find **Who can see this post?** and choose **Members only**.
3. Under **Which plans unlock it?**, tick the plans that should open it. Leave all unticked for any membership.
4. Optionally write a **Message on the locked post**.
5. Save the post.

The photo, caption, reel link and products stay hidden until someone joins.

## Choose what followers see

In **Dashboard → Memberships**, the paywall settings let you set:

- **Locked posts show**: a blurred preview of the photo, or no photo, just the lock.
- **Hide members-only posts from visitors' grid**, if you'd rather not show them at all.
- **Default lock message**, used on posts without their own message.

## How members unlock posts

1. A follower logs in, or creates a free account with an email and password.
2. They join one of your plans and pay you.
3. Once you confirm their payment, your members-only posts open whenever they're logged in, on any device.

## Series parts too

You can keep the first parts of a [reel series](https://qkap.app/docs/reel-series) free and lock the rest for the same members.

## Common questions

### What do other followers see?

A blurred tile with a lock and your message, plus your plans and prices. You can also hide locked posts from the grid.

### What happens when a membership ends?

The posts lock again automatically at the end of the paid period. Renewing unlocks them again.

### What if I delete the plan a post was limited to?

Nobody can unlock it. Edit the post and tick another plan, or untick all for any membership.
