# Lead magnets

Give away a free guide or checklist in exchange for an email, and grow the subscriber list you can email from QKAP.

A lead magnet is a free file people get in exchange for their email. It's the easiest way to grow your email list from your bio.

## Create a lead magnet

1. Go to **Dashboard → Products**.
2. Pick **Free lead magnet**. A draft opens.
3. Add a **Title**, **Description** and **Cover image** in **Details**.
4. Upload your PDF, checklist or template in **Files** (up to 10 files, up to 100 MB each).
5. Optionally write a **Thank-you message** with next steps.
6. Tap **Publish**.

Lead magnets are always free, so there's no price to set and no payment setup needed. The button reads "Get it free" unless you change the **Button text**.

## What followers do

1. They open the lead magnet on your page.
2. They enter their name and email.
3. The file unlocks right away on their private page.

Everyone who grabs it joins your subscriber list. That's the point of a lead magnet, so the **Add buyers to my subscribers** switch is always on for it. Followers are told they're joining your list.

## Email your new subscribers

Lead magnet sign-ups join the same subscriber list as your page's sign-up form. To email them:

1. Go to **Dashboard → Products → Emails**.
2. Choose **Subscribers** or **Everyone** under **Send to**.
3. Write your message and tap **Send now**.

## See and export sign-ups

Go to **Dashboard → Products → Customers** and filter by **Subscribers**. Tap **Export CSV** to download the list.

### Do I need an email tool?

No. Sign-ups land in your QKAP subscribers, and you can email them from **Emails**.

### Can people unsubscribe?

Yes. Every email includes a personal unsubscribe link that removes them straight away.

### Is it really free for followers?

Yes. Lead magnets are always free; the only exchange is their email.
